Ministry of Culture, Youth & Sport on board for National Seniors 2022

…Competition to commence this Sunday

The GBBFF and their athletes alongside the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport and the Chairman of the National Sports Commission

Officials of the Guyana Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (GBBFF) have met with the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Charles Ramson Jr., and Chairman of the National Sports Commission yesterday at the Ministry’s Quamina Street office.

This meeting was organised to formally welcome the Ministry on board for the Seniors Bodybuilding and Fitness Competition (Mr. Guyana) 2022, set for the National Cultural Centre on Sunday December 18, 2022. Besides the formalities of welcoming the Ministry on board, the GBBFF and its athletes have had fruitful engagements with the Minister and the Chairman of the NSC. Among the matters they discussed were the issue of sponsorship, and plans for CAC 2024.
The Guyana Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation would like to thank Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Charles Ramson Jr., for his unwavering support to sports in general, and the sport of bodybuilding and fitness specifically.

Emmerson Campbell would be seeking to
become 6 times’ Men’s Physique champion

GBBFF President Keavon Bess, in a previous interview with this publication, had noted that that body would be “running a very tight ship” from beginning to end, and he is confident the show would be exciting and fans would leave the venue with “their appetites wet” for more bodybuilding action. He also noted that, in regard to what fans can expect come December 18, a high degree of improvement in physicality from the athletes on stage, and much improved professionalism as well.
Approximately 30 athletes would be competing in the four different segments of this competition: Bodybuilding, Bikini, Women’s Wellness, and Men’s Physique. An official list of participating athletes would be presented as time progresses, but among the athletes whose participation has been confirmed are Darious Ramsammy, Christina Ramsammy, Rosanna Fung, Nicolas Albert, Emmerson Campbell, Odel Crum-Ewing, Ashanti Conway, Jonathan Jeffery, and Julio Sinclair.
