As the Miss World Guyana (MWG) organisation commences its auditions to select the best candidate to compete in the pageant, this year, the organisation is changing the standards to ensure that every eligible young woman, with the requisite talent and skill has a chance to represent Guyana.
Major changes are underway at Miss World Guyana as it intends to increase the pool of participants, making it easier for potential candidates to audition for their spot, lowering the fees to make it affordable for anyone to enter, and the MWG organisation will seek corporate sponsorship so that the young women are not burdened by this task and can fully focus on their dream!
For the first time open auditions will be held in Rose Hall, Berbice on Saturday, March 17 at 13:00h, at the Alex Foster Hall. Then on Sunday, March 18 at 13:00h, the auditions will be taken to Linden at Watooka House. The final auditions will take place on March 24 at 13:00h at the Pegasus Hotel.
Judging will be done by internationally recognised standards and Tally Genie which allows for full transparency and quality.
Family members are urged to come out and learn about this unique opportunity that does not only promote beauty but focuses on talent, growth and purpose.
A major part of the over $5 million prize package is made up of university scholarships, travel, an annual stipend and much more.
If for some reason you cannot attend the open auditions, those interested are asked to visit the Miss World Guyana website or the Miss World Guyana Facebook page and register online before March 28.
Eligible contestants must pre-register for the auditions by sending contact information and a photo to Nadia on telephone number 648-8806 or by email to [email protected].
