The Rupununi Football Association (RFA) successfully launched its Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Youth Ensemble Under-13 League over the weekend, although persistent rainfall severely affected the opening round, forcing the cancellation of all scheduled matches except one.
The lone fixture to be completed saw Moco Moco FC defeat Saints FC 4-2 at Culvert City to claim the first three points of the competition.
Moco Moco’s victory was built on goals from Chad Massiah and Elon Francis, while Delroy Williams produced a brace to lead his side to the six-goal contest win. Saints FC fought hard, but could only respond through Rolston Clarke and Marcus Parks, who each scored once.

Action in the competition is scheduled to continue on Saturday, June 6. At Annai, Challengers United will face Paiwomak FC at 10:00h, followed by All Stars Blazers against Legends United at 11:30h and Strikers FC taking on Three Hills FC from 14:30h. Elsewhere, Flash FC will meet Kanuku Warriors FC at Yupukari from 10:00h, while Gladiators FC are set to face Moco Moco FC at 10:00h. Potari FC and Saints FC are also scheduled to clash from 11:30h, with the venue to be confirmed.
