Morris ton hands Barbados U-17 title

Antonio Morris stroked a title-winning century as Barbados upset Guyana by six wickets to claim the 2018 Cricket West Indies (CWI) Regional Under-17 Championship title.
It was a hard-fought battle in Round 5 between the two sides on Tuesday with Guyana batting first and posting what looked like a good enough 181-9. Captain Sachin Singh’s form continued as he hit a top-score of 32 while Dwain Dick (20) was the next best scorer among bits and pieces contributions from other players.
Barbados’ bowling wasn’t fully lethal as a few of their bowlers contributed with two wickets apiece.
Their real prowess was exhibited in the run-chase, which ended up being a stroll in the park after Morris clobbered an unbeaten 101 from 81 balls, including six fours and four sixes.
Barbados in the end reached 184-4 despite a spirited bowling spell from Nigel Deodat, who grabbed 3-25 in vain for Guyana.
