Mother of 3 dies in 2-vehicle collision at Vergenoegen
A mother of three is the latest road fatality after the vehicle in which she was travelling collided with a minibus along the Vergenoegen Public Road, East Bank Essequibo (EBE), on Tuesday last.

Dead is Lovern Benn, 38, also known as “Pinky Adams” of La Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara, and also of Isseneru, Middle Mazaruni, Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni)
Based on information received, at about 22:30h, Benn along with a male friend were travelling in a motor car when a minibus ended up in their lane, causing the vehicles to collide head-on.

Benn sustained severe injuries to the head and leg. She was picked up in an unconscious state by public-spirited persons and rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation where she succumbed one day later.
The driver of the minibus is currently hospitalised and is said to be in stable condition. Police are continuing their investigations.
