Motorcycles, narcotics seized during ‘fowl fight’ raid

Three Honda motorcycles and a quantity of suspected cannabis have been confiscated by Police following a raid at a suspected ‘fowl fighting-ring’ at Vergenoegen, East Bank Essequibo (EBE).

The raid was led by two Assistant Superintendents, a Detective Sergeant, and other ranks.

The officers converged on the location where several persons were searched during which several pairs of scissors were found. An amount of suspected cannabis was also found in four transparent Ziplock bags on the ground, amounting to 12 grams when weighed.
An investigation is underway.
