An 18-year-old motorcyclist is now dead after he was struck by a motor car at Delph Avenue, Campbellville, Georgetown.

Dead is Elijah Bollers of Meadowbrook Gardens, Georgetown. He was riding motor cycle CF 4865 when the accident occurred. Reports are that around 14:10h on Tuesday the young man was allegedly riding at a fast rate when he collided with motor car HC 1527 that was driven by a 34-year-old man who failed to adhere to a stop sign.
Regional Commander, Senior Superintendent Phillip Azore told Guyana Times that the driver of the motor car HC 1527 was proceeding west on John Street, Campbellville while the motorcyclist was proceeding north on Delph Avenue when the driver failed to stop at the stop sign.
As a result, he collided with Bollers, who fell off his motorcycle as a result of the impact and landed several feet away. The teen was picked up by Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where he died while undergoing surgery. According to Police, a breathalyser test was done on the driver, but no trace of alcohol was found. He is in Police custody assisting with the investigations.
