A motorcyclist had to be rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital after he slammed into a minibus at Houston, Georgetown.
The seriously injured motorcyclist has been identified as Rawle Hugh, 43, a contractor of Georgetown.
According to reports, the incident occurred at about 19:00h as the man was returning from a staff party.
When this newspaper arrived on the scene, eyewitnesses related that the motorcyclist was heading to the city at a fast rate when he lost control of motorcycle, CE 7479, and slammed into the minibus.
Public spirited persons rushed to his assistance and managed to pull him from the wreckage.
Hugh was taken to the hospital where it was reported that he suffered neck injuries and lost most of his teeth.
According to a friend of the injured man, just a few minutes before the accident, he was told not to ride home as he was consuming alcohol but he persisted and left.
The Police have launched an investigation.
