Motorcyclist in Waller’s Delight accident dies

Two days after crashing his motorcycle into a parked vehicle at Waller’s Delight, West Coast Demerara (WCD), 30-year-old Cappel Deo succumbed to injuries he sustained during the accident.
Deo died at about 12:30h on Tuesday at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPHC) where he was admitted in a critical condition earlier in the week.
According to reports, Deo of Lot 408 Crane Housing Scheme, WCD, was riding along the West Coast Public Road on Sunday evening when he lost control of his motorcycle and slammed into a parked motorcar bearing registration number PDD 4714.
He was picked up in an unconscious state and taken to the West Demerara Regional Hospital, but was later transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital in that very state. Deo sustained severe head injuries.
A post-mortem examination is expected to be conducted sometime today. Meanwhile, the driver of the car, who was initially arrested on Sunday, has since been released on station bail.
