As Guyana celebrates its 182nd Arrival Day Anniversary, the Miss India Guyana franchise has launched its inaugural Mr India Guyana contest.
The unique platform of the Mr India Guyana franchise has been created by a name that never fails to impress and one who’s contributed immensely to Guyana’s entertainment and pageant industry, Hashim Alli.
Alli is known for his sterling legacy in pageantry by bringing a combination of international pageant placements to Guyana, and the most important – Guyana’s only international crown for 2017 – Miss Global International, whereby he was the National Director for the period 2014-2017.
This multitalented pageant fanatic has once again established another amazing avenue for our industry by introducing The Mr India Guyana 2020 Pageant.
This competition will be the very first of its kind and will also see five remarkable contenders who are ready to take up the role of the title, while fostering a cohesive brotherhood, along with continuing to promote and sustain the rich Indian culture and traditions.
The organisation believes that this platform will be a solid support system in allowing our men of Indian origin to be well equipped with our traditional values, while actively sharing these teachings to the wider community.
It will also allow them to use this title to establish and/or enhance any form of cultural, social or entertainment platforms of their own. Our history has a fusion of successful men in all areas of Indian culture, and the organisation hopes that by creating this title, it will be able to introduce many more iconic names to this prestigious legacy.
As we wait for the COVID-19 pandemic to subside, the organisation will continue working with the Mr India Guyana contenders, to begin preparation for their journey to the title, while contributing towards the prevention campaigns for COVID-19.
