Much-needed road link on East Bank of Demerara

Dear Editor,
Our country at present is having a number of developments, despite the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. A much-needed development is the Diamond-to-Eccles Bypass Road, which would reduce traffic congestion on the East Bank Demerara highway. Most Guyanese welcome this project under the President Irfaan Ali Administration.
Another important subject that has to be looked at is vehicle weight control. Weight stations must be set up, because the cost of maintaining the road would be burdensome for us, the tax payers.
Finally, I received my COVID-19 grant without any objection. Thanks!
