Muneshwers 10th Annual Golf Tourney tees off Saturday
Golf action continues this weekend at the Lusignan Course, where the 10th edition of the Muneshwers Travel Agency Golf Open tees off a competitive day’s action from 12:30h.
Veteran golfer and winner of several tournaments, Mr. Robert Hanoman, a Director of Muneshwers Travel Agency, recently indicated — during Tuesday’s launching at the company’s Water Street location — that the Open, which marks a decade-long relationship between the two entities, will be a special occasion.

Hanoman further noted that Muneshwers has always had the desire to contribute to improving the standard of Golf in Guyana, and the current shape of the course at Lusignan is of North American standards.
Lusignan Golf Club (LGC) President, Aleem Hussain, expressed gratitude to the company, which for the last decade has been one of the main sponsors and contributors to the development of golf in Guyana.
With golfers in top form, thanks to the large number of tournaments held in the last few months, LGC PRO Guy Griffith has said this Saturday’s tournament, which is expected to be littered with the best golfers in Guyana, will certainly breed stiff competition.
Meanwhile, prizes will be awarded for golfers 1st to 3rd, Best Net scores, Best Gross and the Nearest to a Pin. The LGC is also preparing to host a double-header this weekend with the Ganesh Spare Parts-sponsored tournament complimenting Saturday’s Open.
