Police in Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni) have arrested a man whom they had wanted to apprehend for the murder of Bryan Melville.
The Police have said that the 33-year-old suspect was nabbed on Monday last at about 15:00h on the Puruni Trail, and a cutlass suspected to be the murder weapon was found on his person.
While details are still sketchy, the suspect remains in custody as investigations continue.
Only a week ago, Shawn Bobb, a man who was wanted by the Police in connection with a homicide in the East La Penitence Squatting Area of Georgetown, was arrested at Helena Number One, Mahaica, East Coast Demerara. At the time of his arrest, Bobb was disguised as a woman. (G9)
