A musician was released on $35,000 bail on Wednesday when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts before Magistrate Fabayo Azore charged for having nine grams of cannabis in his possession.
Dwayne McFarlane, 23, of Lot 6 Camp Street, Werk-en-Rust, Georgetown, denied the allegation put to him.
It is alleged that he had the illegal substance in his possession on May 19, 2018 at Aubrey Barker Road for the purpose of trafficking.
According to the man, he was searched by ranks, but nothing was found on his possession; as such, he was unclear how the charge against him was instituted.
The case will continue on June 25, 2018.
