Nand Persaud & Company Ltd launches prefab & modular homes at Int’l Building Expo

Nand Persaud and Company Ltd has officially launched its prefab and modular homes at this year’s International Building Expo which is currently being held at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence, East Bank Demerara (EBD).
The company’s prefabricated home that is being offered is currently on display complete with kitchen, bathroom, water, and electrical fixtures.
According to Public Relations Officer (PRO) at Nand Persaud and Company Ltd Nadia Inshan, this new department under the company’s umbrella was influenced by the Government’s push for rapid development throughout the country coupled with Guyana’s developing oil and gas sector.
“Our economy has transformed and we are now an emerging oil and gas sector coupled with our Government’s commitment to affordable housing that gives us the opportunity to showcase and market the prefab house,” she stated.
The houses being introduced by Nand Persaud have an estimated life span of 60-plus years, requires minimal maintenance and are assembled on-site by the company’s construction team.
Inshan lamented that this process is very time efficient.
“Nand Persaud and company is offering a more practical housing solution to Guyanese. Prefabricated houses can be assembled at a much shorter time [than] it would take to construct a traditional house. The house panels are cement board and the structure is steel. It’s eco-friendly, durable, customisable, and very cost-effective,” she explained.
“Its insulation keeps the interior cool for a longer time and it’s been known to withstand harsh climate because of its sturdy material,” she added.
The prices of these houses vary depending on their size, with the lowest starting at around $5.
Inshan further encouraged people to come out to the expo and have a chance to interact with their team to have better information on this new product the company offers.
