Following the abrupt ending to the undercard fight of debutant, Anthony Narine and Keeve Allicock at the Guyana Boxing Board of Control’s “Bad Intentions” Boxing card at the Giftland Mega Mall, Liliendaal on Saturday August 27, the match up is now deemed as a ‘no contest’
In the first fight of the night, the two NexGen Global Promotions’ boxers were going head on against each other but a decision at the ringside favoured Narine as it was contended that Allicock threw an illegal blow prior to the referee’s instructions to stop the action
According to the GBBC’s release, while reviewing the recording of the fight, it was revealed that Allicock was responding to a blow by Narine after the referee had stopped the action.
It was due to this revelation that both boxers were disqualified and deemed a ‘no contest’
Both boxers came out of the Harpy Eagles boxing gym located in Albouystown and while Narine was making his debut, 22 year old Allicock is from a family of boxers and has been in the ring three times prior to this no contest where he won twice.
