National Rugby Coaches elected

The Guyana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) in a statement announced the names of the elected National Coaches that will be guiding Guyana’s ruggers, at every participatory regional and international level.

U-19 and Senior Men’s 15s Coach Laurence Adonis
Senior Men’s 7s Coach Theodore “Theo” Henry
Women’s Head Coach Kenneth “Shane” Grant-Stuart

On February 25, 2020, the newly-elected body met, and nominations were opened for Head and Assistant Coaches for the Under-19, Senior Men’s 15s, Senior Men’s 7s and the women’s teams.
Below are the names of the elected:
Under 19
Head Coach: Laurence Adonis
Assistant Coach: Oslen Ollivierre

Senior Men’s 15s
Head Coach: Laurence Adonis
Assistant Coach: Oslen Ollivierre

Senior Men’s 7s
Head Coach: Theodore “Theo” Henry
Assistant Coach: Kevin “Buck” McKenzie

Women
Head Coach: Kenneth “Shane” Grant-Stuart
Assistant Coach: Sabola “Sabby” Gray

The coaches’ tenure will run concurrently with the tenure of the executive – two years. The election of the coaches was done ahead of the Rugby America North (RAN) 15s competition, where the Green Machine will be first taking on rivals Trinidad and Tobago in Guyana, on a date yet to be affixed.
Guyana will then butt heads with the winners of the match between Barbados and St Vincent and the Grenadines.
