Ezekiel Persaud and his partner Limuel Wilson have emerged victorious in the male relay event of the National Schools District Kayaking Championships held at the Watooka Guest House in Linden Region 10 on Monday.
Their victory sealed a clean sweep for the Region 10 (Upper Demerara-Kwakwani) team in the tournament, and created history in such an exciting competition.
This event concluded the first ever National Schools District Kayaking Championships held in Guyana, and the events were witnessed
by a large crowd. Speaking with the press after the win, Persaud said his team was prepared like in the previous event, and that there was no challenger to come close to them.
“We did what was expected of us to win, and we executed all as planned. We will continue to prepare as a team for upcoming events,” he promised.
