Nedd reign as BVA President continues

The Berbice Volleyball Association (BVA) on Sunday, held their Annual General Meeting (AGM) and elections for the year 2018 at the Port Mourant Training School Hostel.
National coach and BVA President Levi Nedd, was unanimously returned as President following two years of leadership. Albert Budhoo was voted new Vice-President with Errol Chase appointed Organising Secretary.
Amanda Mohan was named the Recording Secretary while Rashaad Razak also returned as the Assistant Secretary /Treasurer, with Samuel Whyte still the Public Relations Officer.

The elected executive body of the BVA following Sunday’s AGM

A five committee members elected will see three males and two females serving in the positions. They are Richard Samaroo, Jared Jhingree and Govind Singh the males, while Candacy Mentore and Telissa Williams are the females.
Former BVA President and GVF Vice-President Gregory Rambarran was the Returning Officer. The Executive Committee met immediately after the meeting and formalized the 2018 yearly Planner, which will again pay keen emphasis on youth and female development.
Nedd in his report thanked a number of entities for their support of the association some of which include the National Sports Commission (NSC), The International Olympic Association (IOC), Guyana Volleyball Federation (GVF), Guysuco, Businessman Balram Shane, Department of Education, Ansa McAl, Banks DIH, the Overseas TV Alumni, Saint Francis Community Developers (SFCD) and the various News Media houses amongst others.
