Home News Neighbourhood brawl lands man in court
A neighbourhood brawl, during which one person was wounded ended with two neighbours being placed before the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts on Friday.
Ray Paul, 27, appeared before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly and denied that on March 13, 2019, at Phase Two, East Ruimveldt squatting area, he unlawfully and maliciously wounded Melroy Phillips with intent to cause him actual bodily harm.
While no facts were presented to the court on the matter, the prosecution had no objections to bail being granted to the East Ruimveldt resident. The 27-year-old man was released on $20,000 bail and the case will continue on March 27, 2019.
