In accepting her letter, President Granger said that Guyana and Austria have enjoyed cordial relations ever since the establishment of diplomatic relations in April 1973. He noted that the relations have been cemented by active engagement in advancement of Caricom.
“Guyana is moving towards the establishment of a green state. A green state is one that will raise emphasis on the preservation of our biodiversity, protection of our environment and eco- educational services, promotion of renewable energy generation and adapting practical measures to ensure climate adaptation,” he said.
“Guyana looks forward to renewed cooperation in agriculture, education, environmental protection, forest management, in investment and renewable energy generation,” he added.
Feldmann expressed her gratitude to the President for accepting her letter while renewing her country’s commitment to further collaboration with Guyana.
