New GPC Inc boosts local ruggers

Guyana National Male and Female Sevens Teams are the latest beneficiaries of a quantity of medical supplies from local corporate pharmaceutical giants, the New GPC Inc. The much needed supplies are expected to come in handy as the teams commence their road to the 2020 Olympics with participation in the upcoming World Sevens series in Hong Kong from April 1 to 11.

The presentation was made by New GPC’s Marketing, Sales & Business Development Associate Elizabeth Ram to members of the Guyana Rugby Football Union at a simple ceremony at the company’s headquarters at Farm, East Bank Demerara.

In an invited comment, Ram declared that “New GPC Inc. is pleased to once again be associated with the Guyana Rugby Football Union. It is a pleasure and honor to support the rugby team with the medical supplies that they need to participate in the upcoming event in April. We have recognized the importance of sport development, as such, we are committed to playing our part as a corporate entity.”

The Men’s National sevens team is currently in New York on a one week training encampment playing a series of match games against top clubs before departing for Hong Kong over the weekend.
