New Vision Labs conducts free COVID-19 testing for Guyana’s FIBA AmeriCup 3X3 teams

New Vision Labs Inc (NVL) has partnered with the Guyana Amateur Basketball Federation (GABF) to provide free PCR COVID testing for GABF members who would be participating in the International Federation of Association (FIBA) Americup 3×3 Championships in Florida.

GABF President, Michael Singh

Slated for November 12-14, the tournament will see GABF members Timothy Thompson, Ryan Stephney, Nikolai Smith and Travis Burnett playing for the Guyana males, while Joy Adams, Petal Leacock, Kesann Charles and Jada Mohan would compete for the Guyana females.
GABF President Michael Singh has said he is happy to have NVL as an official COVID-19 testing partner in these critical times, wherein sports must coexist with a deadly disease.
“Future programmes of this nature will ensure further collaboration. Testing of athletes plays a vital role in safety,” Singh posited.
Meanwhile, NVL’s Marketing & Sales Manager Shemar Alleyne explained that this venture is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility.
“New Vision Labs is proud to support the Guyana Amateur Basketball Federation by providing…COVID-19 testing. This gives us much greater confidence for the team to participate in the championships,” he said.
The inaugural FIBA 3×3 AmeriCup will feature 18 men’s and 15 women’s teams. In the Men’s category, Guyana will face St. Lucia and Trinidad and Tobago in Group C, while the women’s team will face Trinidad and Tobago, Guatemala and Jamaica in Group A.
