Home Sports NexGen Golf Academy delivers on promise to Hope Children’s Home
During a simple handover ceremony at the Hope Children’s Home at Enmore, ECD, Golf Association President Aleem Hussain and Michelle Codrington fulfilled the Nexgen Golf Academy’s promise to deliver a better Christmas to that institution in 2020.
Director of the Home, Kenneth Finlayson, expressed his gratitude for the gift, and the children enthusiastically sang carols as they recalled the wonderful event held on Sunday.
Finlayson has said this donation would definitely give the children a much better holiday than had previously been anticipated, and that he is looking forward to more support to complete the planned building expansion, which has been stalled by a lack of both funds and materials.
“Persons or companies interested in making any contribution to the orphanage can contact Aleem Hussain, who has agreed to do whatever it takes to help us complete the project”, Finlayson has said.
The Guyana Golf Association and Nexgen Golf Academy have led the way in using sports to raise funds in the past few years, and Hussain has promised that greater things are in the works.
There are many opportunities for groups and individuals who wish to participate in the sport of golf, or use the Academy to create a safe, COVID-compliant activity just by stopping by, visiting the Academy’s Facebook page, or by calling 645-0944.
