Next round of matches postponed until Sunday

Hamilton Green 9-a-side Inter-Ward/ Village KO Cup…

Hamilton Green 9-a-side Inter-Ward/ Village KO Cup Coordinator Lennox Arthur has confirmed that the next round of matches would be pushed back to Sunday night owing to circumstances beyond their control.
The round of matches, which was set to be played this evening, will not be played following a request from the custodians of the Centre who related that athletes and officials currently participating in the National Schools Cycling, Swimming & Athletics Championships are using the Den Amstel Community Centre Ground.
Arthur disclosed that the new date for the penultimate round of games is now Sunday, and eight exciting matches are scheduled to be played. Hosts Den Amstel will headline the proceedings when they clash with Soesdyke in the final game of the night.
In the opening encounter, at 18:00h, Zeelugt tackle Charlestown and many believe that this game is the perfect start for the night’s proceedings. This clash will be followed by the game between Sophia and Central Mackenzie, before Mahaica and Mahaichony square off for a place in the next round, but also bragging rights.
Goed Fortuin then collide with Wales, before Crane and Sara Lodge take to the field for their matchup. Close to $700,000 in total prize monies are up for grabs. West Demerara’s Pouderoyen then look to repel the challenge of visiting Newtown Kitty, before another team from the West Side, Uitvlugt face Timehri.
