Meanwhile, the GBA president disclosed that a meeting which is expected among more than 10 regional boxing boards’ officials will be held on Saturday. Representation will be seen from AIBA as well as the American Boxing Confederation.
The meeting which was initially slated for September 9 was postponed due to the passage of destructive Hurricane, Irma.
Though the full details of the objective of the meeting have not been fully disclosed, it is understood that Ninvalle is chartering a course that could very well determine the way forward for the sport of boxing following the recent events at AIBA’s embattled president Wu Ching-Kuo, who sits at the helm of the sport, since 2006, has found himself in a power-struggle with the majority of his executive committee members who have joined forces to establish a temporary administration.
