No arrest in Automotive Art robbery

Police are continuing their investigation into the armed robbery committed on two employees of Automotive Art on Croal Street, Georgetown on Wednesday, but they are yet to make an arrest. They are currently reviewing the surveillance footage taken from the CCTV with intent to identifying the perpetrators.

It has been reported that two armed men relieved two employees of that business establishment of a bag containing close to $1 million in cash. The workers had just returned from a commercial bank on the day in question, and as they exited their motor car, a black car reportedly pulled up alongside them and stopped.

A man carrying a hand gun exited and grabbed the bag that contained the money before reportedly discharging a round into the air and hurriedly re-entering the waiting motor car, which fled the scene.

An official of the paint company, confirming that less than $1 million had been taken, told media operatives that the two workers had gone to the bank to collect “change money”.
