The Sonia Noel Foundation for Creative Arts has launched a new programme, titled “Confidence Becomes You… Personal and Professional Practice for Prosperous Pursuits”.
A group of phenomenal young men and women from all walks of life were chosen to be part of an empowering dynamic youth movement. The young leaders are determined to contribute positively towards the development of our country and are currently studying and discussing the ‘21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership’ by John Maxwell.
Before the evening session was over, persons were recognising the value of these laws if applied. Good thinking shapes who you are so we have to be intentional to engage in good thoughts. However, another group which consist of mostly women, embarked on a confidence building agenda to improve personal and professional practices.
It is a way for people to assess their skills and qualities, consider their aims in life and set goals in order to realise and maximise their potential.
Participants learnt about the foundation of their core message, effective taglines, effective networking tips, unique serving proposition, time management and how to be more effective at Radio and TV interviews.
One of the facilitators, John Quelch, mentioned that it is important to develop and improve oneself before extending it to anyone or anything else.
The effectiveness of the people you led and/or your organisation will always be capped by the level of your personal leadership skills and abilities, he noted.
The programme was also extended to schools.
