A North Ruimveldt shopkeeper is now in hot water after she was caught last Wednesday with narcotics in her possession.
Forty-nine-year-old Ramona Husian was arrested by ranks in her home.
According to reports, Police, acting on information received, swooped down on Husian’s premises and a search was carried out. Leaves, seeds and stems suspected to be cannabis were subsequently discovered. She was told of the suspicion and taken to the Ruimveldt Police Station where the substance was tested and found to be 16 grams of cannabis.
As such, she was told of the offence, cautioned and charged. Husian is expected to be taken before the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts, where she will be arraigned for the said offence.
