The Guyana Amateur Powerlifting Federation’s Novices/Juniors National Championship and Qualifiers will be held on Sunday, April 25th, 2021 at the Saint Stanislaus College in upper Brickdam, near the Georgetown Magistrates Courts.
The Federation is reminding its athletes that weigh-in time begins at 06:00 hrs and ends at 07:30 hrs (6am to 7:30am). The competition will begin at 08:00 hrs (8am).
Some of the athletes who will be guest lifting to achieve a qualifying total are: Paul Adams, Wazim Mohamed, Nadina Taharally and Franklyn Brisport.
Because of the pervasiveness of COVID-19, the GAPLF will not be allowing spectators at the venue, and each team would be allowed only one coach. Everyone present would be expected to wear a mask. The competition will be live- streamed for the virtual audience.
