NPG Packaging & Plastic Inc. sponsors colossal T20 in Upper Corentyne

The NPG Packaging and Plastic Incorporated of Wellington Park, Corentyne, Berbice join forces with the Upper Corentyne Cricket Association (UCCA) to run off the biggest 20/20 second division cricket tournament in Berbice. The competition will involve teams from the Upper Corentyne area spanning from Number 43 Village to Crabwood Creek and will also include two teams from Black Bush Polder.
At a simple presentation done recently at the Hotel Riverton Suites proprietor of NPG Packaging and Plastic, Surendra Ganesh said that he is pleased to give back to the Upper Corentyne area which is part of his customer base and that he is looking forward to an exciting tournament.
President of the UCCA Dennis De Andrade thanked Ganesh and his firm for coming on board with this much-needed sponsorship. He also noted that the competition will help in bring back the passion for cricket among youths and will also give those with idle time something to do.

The competition will start as soon as the weather permits and will feature 21 teams playing in four zones in a round robin format on a home and away basis as is done in franchise leagues globally including Caribbean Premier League and Indian Premier.
The top two teams from each zone will then advance to the knockout stage of the competition. The winner will receive $100,000 and a trophy whilst the runner up, third place and fourth place teams will all receive cash and trophies as well. The players of the match in the final and third place play-off will also receive trophies and cash incentives.
