NSC boosts National Seniors with financial donation

The Athletics Association of Guyana (AAG) has been rid of any financial worry as the National Sports Commission (NSC) made a timely donation to its coffers to enable it to host the Nation Senior Track and Field Championships being staged this weekend.
Presentation of the sponsorship cheque was made on Thursday at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports’ Main Street Boardroom, and was witnessed by Sport Minister Charles Ramson Jr; Director of Sport, Steve Ninvalle; Chairman of the NSC Board, Kashif Mohammad; and NSC Board Member Dellon Davidson.

AAG President Aubrey Hutson was praised during the ceremony for his commitment and the advancements he has overseen in the sport.
The National Senior Championships, which begin this afternoon at the Leonora Synthetic Track, will continue on Saturday and conclude on Sunday. The closed-door event will see participation from both local and international athletes, some of whom are hoping to achieve the Olympic qualification mark.
