NTFC walk-through conducted as CARIFTA prep begins

As Guyana prepares to host the 54th edition of the Caribbean Free Trade Association (CARIFTA) Track and Field Championships in 2027, Government officials and regional stakeholders had a walk-through of one of Guyana’s track and field facilities, the National Track and Field Centre (NTFC), West Coast Demerara (WCD), on Monday.
Sport Minister Charles Ramson Jr, alongside Minister within the Ministry Steven Jacobs, Director of Sport (DoS) Steve Ninvalle, National Sports Commission (NSC) Vice Chairman Christy Campbell, Athletics Association of Guyana (AAG) President Sheryl Hermonstine, and AAG General Secretary James Cole, was joined by CARIFTA Games officials Michael Sands and John-Paul Clarke, having a thorough look at the facility.
According to a social media post, the visit formed part of preparations for Guyana’s hosting of the CARIFTA Games, which are scheduled for March 27–29, 2027.
