Nude body of unidentified man found at Mahaica

The nude body of an unidentified man was found, in the wee hours of Thursday, lying along the De Hoop, Public Road in Mahaica, East Coast Demerara (ECD).
The Police have said that, acting on information received, a party of ranks went to the De Hoop Public Road and observed an unidentified male of East Indian descent lying naked on the side of the road.
Upon inspection of the body, a suspected wound was seen on his forehead, and there were bruises about his body. In addition, his right eye appeared to have been pushed out of its socket, and brain matter was seen on the said road shoulder.
The body was taken to Anthony’s Funeral Home to awaiting proper identification and a post-mortem. An investigation has been launched into the discovery.
