The miner who killed his colleague after he allegedly refused to perform oral sex on him during a drinking spree at Jack and Vieira Backdam, North West District (NWD), Region One (Barima-Waini), was on Thursday nabbed at Mabaruma, NWD.
Orland LaCruz, 40, of Pomeroon River, was shot once to the neck and died almost immediately on June 15, 2017.
It was reported that the men were imbibing at the mining camp when an argument broke out after LaCruz refused to perform the sexual act. As a result, the suspect loaded the shotgun and discharged a round hitting LaCruz, after which he fled the scene.
The Police have been on the hunt for the suspect and it was based on information received, the Police were able to apprehend the wanted man.
Now that he has been apprehended, he is expected to be charged with the capital offence of murder in the new week.
