Officials get certified for completing online boxing seminar

Five local referee/judges who participated in the historic two-day seminar for Caribbean officials were on Friday presented with certificates by the Americas Boxing Confederation (AMBC) Vice President Steve Ninvalle, the one who had organised this seminar.

More than 150 officials from the English-speaking Caribbean, Curacao, Haiti and Suriname participated in the seminar. Guyana was represented by AIBA One Star referees Lawrence Assanah, Richard Braithwaite and Elton Chase – Guyana’s first and only AIBA-certified International Technican Officer (ITO). Jermaine Craig, Shenice Agard and Colin Rodney comprised the rest of the local team.
