On-the-spot interviews to be done at GTT job fair today
…as company aims to hire more staff
The Guyana Telephone & Telegraph company (GTT) has announced that persons looking to be employed by GTT can expect to be hired on the spot during its job fair today.
Commencing at 10:00hrs, potential employees are expected to walk with their curriculum vitae (CV), proof of identification, vaccination card, and other relevant documents in order for this process to be carried out.
As the company hosts its first career fair, some 30 persons are expected to be hired. The job fair will be held at the company’s 55 Brickdam retail location (Blackberry Store).
GTT’s Employee Experience Director, Tiana Gurcharran, has indicated that the company has a range of vacant positions to be taken up by suitably qualified professionals who are hoping to be employed by company.
Among those positions are Project Manager, Customer Experience Associate, Heavy Duty Driver, IT Manager, Procurement Manager, Call Centre Agent, Payroll Specialist, Engineer 1, Security Agent, and Senior Engineer, to name a few.
Gurcharran stated that as long as their CV appears to have met the requisite criteria, persons can expect to be given an on-the-spot interview. The Director explained that this strategy is to provide persons with the opportunity to market themselves on an interpersonal level.
“For the past year, we have been conducting interviews virtually. While this has been of much convenience to many, we know others prefer an interpersonal interaction. So, we are doing it a bit differently, and giving persons the opportunity to market themselves on the spot,” she explained.
