Two men have been arraigned before City Magistrate Dylon Bess at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts on Wednesday on separate charges of robbery and attempted robbery.

The charge against Kendrick Haley was, however, dismissed after the virtual complainant refused to offer evidence against him. It has been alleged that on January 8, at East and Quamina Streets, Georgetown, Haley, while armed with a piece of brick, attempted to rob Kester Kellis, a Special Constable.
Meanwhile, in the other matter, Deon Allen pleaded not guilty to a robbery charge, and has been placed on $50,000 bail.
It is alleged that on January 9, at Kitty Public Road, Georgetown, he robbed Damian Binder of US$600 (Gy$120,000). He has been instructed to return to court on March 7.
While at court, Allen’s mother claimed that her son was beaten by Police ranks. (G1)
