The new Electronic Health Record System, which will allow for more efficient customer care, which is a critical component of modern patient care, will be rolled out at all locations within the next two months.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company, Dhani Narine stated that Optique’s mission is to become nationally recognised as a household brand and Guyana’s leading optical centre.
As such, in addition to the opening of the new branch, Optique recently commenced their Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Programme which will address the growing burden of diabetic retinopathy in Guyana.

“As leaders in the optical industry, we are committed to the development of our staff, improved services to our customers and to the continuous evolution of eye care services in Guyana. We will continue to invest in the training of optometry interns from the University of Guyana’s optometry programme and cultivate partnerships with the public sector in order to develop and implement sustainable eye care programmes that address the burden of visual impairment in Guyana,” the CEO assured.
