Guyana’s Top cyclists will be on show at the National Park; come Saturday March 24 when the Star Party Rentals sponsored youth race gets underway today.
The race pedals off from 09:00hrs and is expected to attract the best cyclist from across the local clubs as well as young riders from the nation’s schools.
The feature race will see the top juniors and senior riders go head-to-head in the Schoolboys and Invitational 35-lap race while categories such as the; 12-14 year-old Boys and Girls (3 laps), Veterans Under-50 (5 laps), Veterans Over-50 (5 laps), Veterans Over-60 , Juveniles, Upright cyclists, BMX Boys open, BMX Boys 12-14 (3 laps), BMX Boys 9-12 and BMX Boys 6-9 will be contested.
Meanwhile, defending champion Andre ‘Padlock’ Greene will defend his title with manager of Star Party Rentals former national cricketer; Lennox Cush, is expected to distribute the prizes to the top performers following the race; which takes place in the inner-circuit of the Park.
