MVP Sports has thrown its support behind Carlos Peterson-Griffith in his journey to the 18th FESUPO/NAPF Pan-American Regional Powerlifting Championships, set to take place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Orlando, Florida, USA from August 17-21, 2021.
In a post on its social media page, the MVP Sports store, which boasts top-of-the-line accessories and gear for athletes, has said, “Best of wishes to Carlos ‘El Rey’ Peterson on his journey to the PanAm Regional Powerlifting Championships. MVP Sports is proud to support talented and hardworking athletes on their journey to excellence. Welcome to the team of MVP Sports’ ambassadors.”
In an interview with this publication, Peterson-Griffith was asked for his view on being supported by the sporting goods giant, and he said: “I must say thank you to all my sponsors and supporters out there. It’s a very challenging situation, you know now that the pandemic is wearing off a bit. Besides that, what I’m hoping to accomplish or look forward to at the games is placing among the top three and mostly qualifying for the World Open Powerlifting Championship, which is set for November 8-13, 2021 in Stavanger, Norway.”
The athlete has said that with his mind set on attaining his goals, a lot is expected of him, and he is looking forward to breaking two world records; namely, the squat and the deadlift.
He has said he is working diligently towards achieving these two goals.
Peterson-Griffith is determined to remain focused on achieving his objectives. He knows that the hard work never stops, and he is taking things one step at a time because things cannot be rushed.
Peterson-Griffith is the one to look out for, because he is no stranger to breaking records. In the recently concluded Novices/Juniors National Championships & Qualifiers 2021, this powerhouse of an athlete broke three records; namely, the Men’s Open Raw – Squat 307.5kg – 677.922lbs; Men’s Open Raw – Total 350kg-771.618lbs, and the Men’s Open Raw – Deadlift 350kg-771.618lbs.
