Parika labourer nabbed with ganja in cigarette box
A 32-year-old labourer of Parika, East Bank Essequibo (EBE), was on Saturday evening arrested after he was found with a quantity of cannabis in his possession.
Reports are at about 21:35h on the night in question, Police were carrying out a vehicle patrol in the vicinity of the Parika Junction when they observed the suspect acting in a suspicious manner.
The ganja that was found in the labourer’s possession
The ranks approached the man and told him of their suspicions. The Police then carried out a search on his person, during which a cigarette box containing seven ziplock bags were found with the ganja.
He was cautioned and denied ownership of the cannabis. He was later escorted to the Parika Police station where the ganja was weighed in his presence and amounted to 8.1 grams.
He was later taken into custody.
