Home News Patentia man denies threatening to kill neighbour
– tells court, “I curse, but I never threatened to kill he!”
Nandkishore Singh of Patentia, West Bank Demerara was on Thursday arraigned before Wales Magistrate Rushell Liverpool on an allegation that, on August 8, 2017 at Patentia, WBD, he threatened to kill his neighbour, Rajendra Rajkumar, and used a series of expletives at him.
Police allege that the 56-year-old defendant threatened to kill the virtual complainant, and swore at him using a series of “F” and “S” expletives.
Nandkishore admitted that he did swear, but stressed that he did not threaten to kill Rajkumar. He said he was under the influence of alcohol when the incident was committed. “I curse, but I never threatened to kill he!” the defendant told the court.
This explanation caused Nandkishore’s initial guilty plea to be changed into a not-guilty plea, and the magistrate placed him on $10,000 bail. His next court appearance is slated for October 26, for trial.
