Peacemaker hit to head while “parting” wedding house fight

Enam Ally also called “Scraper” was in the wee hours of Sunday lashed to the head after he intervened in a fight at Burn Bush Dam, Sheet Anchor Village, East Canje, Berbice. The incident reportedly took place at about 03:30h at a wedding house.
Police stated that on the day in question, the now injured man was attending a friend’s wedding at Burn Bush Dam, Sheet Anchor Village, East Canje, Berbice, when he observed two men fighting.
As such, he intervened with the aim of parting the fight but instead, one of the men armed himself with a beer bottle and dealt the victim one blow to his forehead thus causing him to receive an injury. After the incident, the suspect fled the scene.
Ally was taken to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital where he was treated and admitted a patient in a stable condition. The matter was reported to the Police and an investigation was launched. The suspect remains on the run.
