An Essequibo Coast, Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam) pedal cyclist is currently hospitalised following a collision on the Zorg public road on Friday morning.
Injured is Roy Lowe, who is nursing a dislocated hip along with other injuries about his body at the Suddie Public Hospital.
Reports are at about 09:30h, motorcar HC 6272 driven by Shiek Mohamed was proceeding North along the eastern side of the Zorg public road when 63-year-old Lowe reportedly made a right turn, hence colliding with the car.
He was picked up and rushed to hospital where he was admitted. Following the collision, the driver of Maria Delight, Essequibo Coast, was taken into Police custody and is assisting with investigations.
Both the car and the cycle are impounded at the Suddie Police Station.
