Pedal cyclist injured in WCB hit and run

The Police are on the hunt for a black minibus following a hit-and-run accident along the Bath Public Road, West Coast Berbice (WCB) on Wednesday which has left one man injured.
The injured man is 34-year-old Davanand Manroop of Waterloo Bath, WCB.
Based on information received, on the day in question, around 15:40h, the pedal cyclist alleged that he was riding along the footpath of the said road when he observed a black minibus overtaking another vehicle on a bridge at a fast pace.
The minibus then reportedly collided with him. As a result of the collision, he fell to the road surface where he sustained injuries about his body. The driver of the minibus fled the scene.
The pedal cyclist was picked up in a conscious state by public-spirited citizens and taken to Fort Wellington Public Hospital, where he was treated and admitted for observation in stable condition.
