Dear Editor,
Having been the victim of several robberies in the past, it is pure damned nonsense (to borrow a phrase) that the Berbice businessman would still see it fit and proper to send his lone wife along with a lone female employee to the bank with a huge deposit for a lone robber to pounce on them (KN Jan 25).
Businesses have been told repeatedly to engage proper security when transporting large sums of money. Penny wise, pound foolish comes to mind.
The quick work by law enforcement personnel in capturing suspects is good, and it has been noted that the Commander would now provide Police assistance for these types of transactions.
