A pensioner appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court on Monday on a fraud-related charge. Loren Graham, 66, was brought before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly who granted her $300,000 bail.

It is alleged that between September 1 and 17, at Georgetown, she conspired with other persons and falsely pretended to a real estate agent, Leon Joseph, who was in the position to sell a parcel of land located at Lot 924 Eccles, East Bank Demerara, knowing same to be false.
Despite objections raised by Police Prosecutor Annalisa Brummel to the elderly woman being released on bail, Magistrate Daly granted the woman her pre-trial liberty. The case comes up again on October 18. (G1)
