Phone snatcher gets $10,000 bail

A 26-year-old painter of Hunter Street Albouystown was on Tuesday granted bail in the sum of 10,000 when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan on a simple larceny charge.
Vicky Suffrein made his appearance at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts and pleaded not guilty to the charge which stated that on April 15, 2021, at Brickdam, Georgetown, he stole one Samsung Galaxy mobile phone from Shemaine McKinnon along with a wallet containing $27,000 in cash.
The prosecutor told the court that the stolen items were found in his possession after he was apprehended. He is expected to return to court on April 26, 2021.
