Home News PI into possession of narcotics continues in Linden
The preliminary inquiry into a possession of narcotics charge against 55-year-old minibus driver Garfield Parker continues at the Linden Magistrate’s Court.
The Lethem resident is facing two charges of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking. The first charge alleges that on November 1, 2017 at Mabura, Parker had in his possession 24.9 kilograms of cannabis sativa for the purpose of trafficking.
The other charge alleges that on the same day and location, Parker had in his possession 200 grams of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
On Tuesday, two witnesses testified on behalf of the defendant as the trial continued. The matter has been adjourned to May 24, when the defence will make its submission.
